Provide public relations/promotion and special events coordination for a variety of clients including The Great American Beer Festival On the Road Baltimore (May 1998), the Maryland House and Garden Pilgrimage (April 1998 and April 1999), Local Coordinator for the American Association of Museums Annual Meeting (May 2000--attendance 6,000), Museum Shop-Around (December 1999, 2000 and 2001), Baltimore Museum of Art Grand Reopening of The Cone Collection (April 2001), Artscape public relations and promotion (July 2001), Maryland/Kanagawa Sister State Committee 20th Anniversary Celebration (October 2001), Stadium Place Grand Opening (September 2004), among others.

Responsible for fund raising and promotional activities, including public relations, publications and media contact in support of arts programs sponsored by the Mayor's Advisory Committee on Art and Culture: ARTSCAPE, the Billie Holiday Vocal Competition, CityArts Grants Program, The Baltimore Chamber Music Awards, Maryland Dance Showcase, the Baltimore Mural Program and Bright StARTS Workshops for Children. In addition, developed the October Baltimore's Arts & Humanities Month celebration of the arts and humanities organizations and institutions, including the Howard St. Avenue of the Arts festival, Office Building Open House, City Hall Chamber Music Concerts and other programs throughout the month of October. Developed sponsorship packages and public relations vehicles for these programs.

Served as a liaison with other Baltimore City institutions and agencies. In that capacity have worked on Mayor Schmoke's Pre-Inaugural Gala; the Mayor's Child Care Conference; and All-Star Streetfest. Member of to the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA)/National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH)/Institute of Museum Services (IMS) steering committee on cultural tourism for the White House Conference on Tourism. Chair of the Public Relations Committee of the Mayor's Commission on Tourism, Entertainment and Culture (MCTEC), member of the Marketing Committee of the Mayor's Commission on Tourism, Entertainment and Culture (MCTEC). Member of the Baltimore Area Convention and Visitors Association (BACVA) Marketing Committee and the Downtown Baltimore Special Events Committee through Downtown Partnership and Baltimore Office of Promotion (BOP).

Worked with Baltimore Heritage District Designation Task Force.

Coordinated fund raising activities and grants writing for this emerging institution. Developed special events, including a "Welcome Pride II" sail on the Clipper City, October "Hallo-wienie Roast" and the July 4 "Picnic on the Pier," to promote the institution and provide media recognition as well as raise money.

Mayor's Ball for the Arts

Provided staff support and public relations for co-chairs Arnold and Pamela Lehman to raise funds for special arts projects in neighborhoods. The theme was SUBCULTURE and the Ball was held in a subway station.

EDUCATION

    Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Design, University of Maryland; Minor in English. Graduate study in Fine Arts: painting, drawing, photography and various continuing education courses.
